What is PHP (PHP: Hypertext Processor)

PHP is a scripting programing language which is used to make website which dynamic content or to make another web application. PHP can interact with database, file, directory, even with operating system. PHP is include into group interpreter software, is translate line by line script at program (without compile) and then execution the program.

The first founder of PHP is Rasmus Lerdorf from Perl. The first PHP named is FI (Form Interpreted) the form of script collection which is manage data from web. After that the name of PHP is change to be PHP/FI, this name given by Rasmus Lerdorf after release and has been implemented with C language. Until the end there are a company the named is Zend the rewrite PHP to become a better programming language and fast, and then Zend officially released and the name was changed to PHP 3 and changed PHP abbreviation become a looping acronym PHP:Hypertext Processor (PHP is Personal Home Page).

In PHP execution only be done on the server side because PHP is scripting language thet is server side so PHP code created can't to seen at client side. For execution illustration PHP script see the picture below.

When browser on the computer requests page(file with php script) at web server, web server will  processing page(file with php script), and then web server response and show requested data into page(file with html script) to browser on the computer.
